Abstract: 

PD UNITS TREAT RENAL FAILURE, PARTIALLY REPLACING KIDNEY FUNCTION BY REMOVING METABOLIC WASTES THROUGH SELECTIVE DIFFUSION ACROSS THE PERITONEUM. A PROTOTYPE OF PD UNIT IS DesignED AND MADE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN IROST. OUR UNIT FEATURES ARE CONTROL OF FILLING DIALYSATE FLOW TO PERITONEAL CAVITY AND DRAINING FROM IT, WARMING THE DIALYSATE TO BODY TEMPERATURE AND CONTROLLING THE DIALYSATE TEMPERATURE BEFORE FILLING, CONTROL AND MONITORING FILL TIME, DWELL TIME, DRAIN TIME, NUMBER OF CYCLES ON THE BASIS OF DIALYSIS TYPE, COMPUTING THE ULTRA-FILTRATION, REPORTING AND STORING CAPABILITY, PC CONNECTION CAPABILITY, PROGRAMMING FOR INDIVIDUAL PATIENT, ECT. IN THIS UNIT ALL CONTROLS AND MONITORING OF DIFFERENT PARAMETERS ARE BASED ON DIGITAL AND MICROPROCESSOR SYSTEM.

Abstract: 

With the aim of reducing the weight of vehicle and energy consumption, manufacture of composite leaf spring, containing continuous fibers in resin matrix, is under consideration. In this research, a composite leaf spring suitable for Nissan Patrol vehicle was Designed and manufactured. In the first step, dimensional optimization was carried out in regards to constant bending stress and cross-sectional area throughout the length of the spring. Then, the composite leaf spring was made from glass fibers and epoxy resin, by hand lay up method. Comparing the composite leaf spring with the similar metallic type based on standard static test and field test, shows some advantages such as; weight reduction of 79.5%, competitive performance and passenger ride comfort.

Abstract: 

Peeling is an essential step in oat processing. In the operation of peeling oats with peeling machines, a percentage of oats will break and cause quality waste in the product. In this study for the first time, the skin-separating mechanism was created by the contact of two surfaces of the conveyor belt, where the belt passes by the seeds at a higher speed. The upper and lower belts are flat types with 2 mm space, based on the average value of the width of six varieties of oats. The lower belt has a lower speed than the upper belt, the seeds fall on it and move forward. While the upper belt has a higher speed, it causes the rotational movement of the seed by moving on the seeds, and while the seed is between the two belts, it is under pressure, and due to this pressure and rotational movement, the seed skin is broken and separated. To prevent the lower belt from bending, a tray is installed under the lower belt. The amount of dehulled grain is calculated based on the speed of the lower belt. According to the calculations, having a reliability factor of 2, an electric motor of 4 horsepower at 1500 rpm has been selected. The upper speed of the belt is 31.4 m/min and the outlet opening of the tank is 0.003 m2. The amount of peeled oats is 486 kg per hour. In the evaluation of the peeling machine, 76% of Euro varieties was obtained.

Abstract: 

Plasmas are ionized gases and are described as the fourth state of matter. Atmospheric pressure plasma has been proposed as a possible new treatment in wound therapy. In recent years, the possibility of acceleration of wound healing by atmospheric pressure plasma has been the focus of attention in many studies. Plasma can produce reactive species such as Nitric oxide (NO), Hydroxyl (OH) and Atomic oxygen (O) which is an important reaction by living microorganisms. This special tissue-reactive species interaction may lead to the acceleration of tissue repair processes without adverse effects on normal tissue. In this paper, by introducing plasma medicine, the necessity of looking at plasma from the perspective of medical sciences and its applications has been discussed. Also, Design and construction of atmospheric pressure plasma jet system using Helium gas is reported. The experimental setup is based on very simple and low cost electric components that generate electrical field sufficiently high at the electrodes to ionize Helium gas, which flow at atmospheric pressure.

Abstract: 

Since beginning application of mechanical method for paddy threshing, until now only one type of thresher has been used that requires much labor. No effort has been made for their technological improvement. These threshers are hold-on type and because of their Design, paddy clusters are inserted into the threshing unit and paddy straw is held stationery while threshing is done by impact on panicle from tooth. In the hold-on threshing method, keeping the paddy stems by hand, is difficult and has risks some times. To eliminate these difficulties a thresher with mechanical feeding system has been Designed and manufactured. It has relative advantages. It is able to thresh high moisture paddy continuously (fresh harvested add with rain and stem moisture content equal to 23% an 5% respectively). Mean while, there is no human contact with the thresher thus, thresher has high security. Different parts of the machine are Designed based on 300 kg/h threshing capacity (grain) and its estimated power is 2.65kW.

Abstract: 

Due to the necessity to achievement of heat pump manufacturing technology as an important step in the development of geothermal systems, a heat pump is Designed, manufactured and analyzed in different operating conditions. The heat pump is water to water type which is extensively used for heating buildings in winter. A sample of a heat pump from a famous manufacturer is selected to dissemble and thermodynamic, heat transfer and hydraulic analysis has been done on it. By considering the indigenous capabilities in preparing components, the heat pump is Designed and manufactured build a sample with a favorable performance and low power consumption. Then, the sample was tested according to valid standards and the coefficient of performance and thermal behavior of the heat pump was investigated. Test results show a favorable performance of heat pump when the condenser outlet temperature is in the range of 30-45 ̊C. Finally, the heat pump is installed in a building and its performance is evaluated in real operating conditions. In this assessment, the COP of heat pumps changes between 4 and 7 via temperature of the output water of the condenser.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Using human data and observing local manufacturers of domestic products for imported furniture seems necessary to Design and manufacture sofas with ergonomic indices. This paper uses data from the study of human population. The Design process from the perspective of ergonomic furniture and product Design consists of ergonomic principles such as shape and posture in the correct state and consideration of parts of body that need cushion for protection.Methods: In this research, anthropometric data of 150 males and 110 females between the ages of 25 to 35 were measured. The calculations were based on a sample size sofa to gather user evaluation.Results: After analyzing the measured results of a similar internal investigation using SPSS software and combining them with ergonomic principles, the optimal size sofa measurements with all angles for Iranians adults was calculated and the results were compared with the dimensions of the furniture.Conclusions: Seat height and backrest height and width, respectively 57, 37 and 62 cm, the angle of 105 degrees between the seat and the back, and the slope of 5 degrees for the seat surface are suggested as the standard.

Abstract: 

In this study Design, construction and test of a solar bread cooker has been undertaken for solar radiation status in Kashan. In Design step and in order to produce the required energy, use of a parabolic reflective surface for concentrating the solar flux on the back of a cooking plate was considered. For cooking thin bread with 45 cm diameter the diameter of the reflective surface was calculated 130 cm and the cooking plate diameter and thickness were considered 48 cm and 6 mm, respectively. Since the sun orientation changes with time the reflective surface became capable of being adjusted around a north-south as well as east-west axes; also it may be moved vertically up or down. For evaluating the performance, tests and measurements were performed on different days of summer, 1391. The results indicated the validity of calculations and showed the overall efficiency of the solar bread cooker is around 50%. With the solar cooker it is possible to cook 12 beards per hour each with 200 gr weight of dough in eight months of the year at least for six hours in every sunny day; also it may be used for cooking other foods.

Abstract: 

An interface part is used between clutch pedal and clutch cable in Peugeot, Samand, RD and Peugeot pars. This part is consisted of two pieces. The Main body is made of polyamide 6.6 and the second part is made of CK45. Due to the fact that the two pieces are made of different assembling geometry with respect to each other, therefore, has caused performance problems which may result in clutch cable failure. Thus, a new interface part is Designed in such a way that has a better assembling geometry and has overcome the previous problems and improved part functionality.
